Poppy Bump: Month 5

We're just starting the 5th month, but I thought it was time for another picture since Poppy is sure growing. (For convenience purposes, I'm going to refer to Poppy as a "girl" in this post - since I normally say he/him). She is now the size of a bell pepper/sweet potato!

I have been feeling pretty good other than a little cold and some occasional tummyaches. I obviously haven't been sleeping much better, but I feel like I have energy so I can't complain. My appetite is the size of this planet, but I'm trying very hard to eat healthy. I'm really hoping some of the habits I've adopted during pregnancy will stick long after .. we'll see how my self-control is when I'm not obsessing over the little person growing in my tummy! This weekend I'm going to recruit my dad to help Benny move the last two heavy things out of the nursery and then I'm going to move my summer clothes from that closet to the basement closet .. painting will begin soon! Daddy's still convinced Poppy is a boy, but I told him that wanting a boy & Poppy actually being a boy are two different things. We're having a lot of fun playing the guessing game, though. We are set on a boy name (and have been for a couple years now..ha!), but we're still throwing around some girl names. Knowing me, they will be ready to release me from the hospital but won't be able to because I'll be so indecisive about a name.

Cute Daddy Moment: I was at Hallmark the other day getting my sister-in-law a Birthday gift. I came home and told Benny that they have newborn Iowa State booties in 3 colors .. before I could spit out the colors, he interrupted with, "I know. Red, yellow, and white. We're getting yellow - I've had those picked out since December." It's moments like that I just can't help but smile! And yes, my husband is a frequent Hallmark visitor because I'm obsessed. He just hangs out in the Cyclone section while I shop.
